This focal piece honors the vibrancy, spirit and palette of the artist behind this namesake hotel - 19th century Canadian artist Emily Carr. Carr's whimsical landscape and forest paintings inspired The Emily's nature-focused concept, which also drove the direction for lots of my shapes and colors, particularly those rich greens. The goal was to transform this neutral, windowless workout space into a bright and branded extension of the other floors. I also designed the hotel’s shipping container bar and keycards, do-not-disturb cards and tote bags.
